The custom crating services at LTS Transportation Inc. are in compliance with policy directive D-01-05: the Canadian Wood Packaging Certification Program (CWPCP) as established by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). This is a regulatory certification system that allows us to build our packaging products to meet internationally accepted phytosanitary standards. This means our wood packaging is treated to keep potentially dangerous pests from crossing international borders.
Our crates and pallets are all stamped with the Canadian Wood Packaging International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) symbol. If your freight failed to meet foreign import requirements, it could be refused entry into a foreign country, suspension of your privilege to trade in that country and domestic penalties or fines. You could also be found in violation of Canadian law which would lead to enforcement against you by the CFIA. When you put your freight in our hands, you can rest assured that we will follow CWPCP guidelines to the letter to ensure nothing stops your goods from getting where they need to go.
